QC Technical Inspector
A team oriented Quality Control Technical Inspector will support various LEAN and Synchronous Flow Process implementations working within a Cross Functional Team to support identified goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Routinely resolve quality issues with suppliers, manufacturing departments and customers
Solid understanding of proper measurement techniques (brightness, color & NVIS Photometric measurements)
Support various testing, verification, gaging and process control initiatives
Ability to learn/understandModel Based Inspection
Experience in the use of Coordinate Measuring Machine, XY and/or Romer Arm.
Read, learn, understand and interpret safety rules, work instructions, blueprints, compliance documents, etc.
The successful candidate will be able to display proficiency in the below tasks, as well as be expected to gain and excel in a variety of processes and procedures.
* Ability to focus on the task at hand and pay attention to details
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively and professionally interact with others in a manufacturing environment
* Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem and to think in such a way as to produce a new concept or idea
* Background check and pre-employment drug test required.
Due to federal contract obligations, must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
* High school diploma or equivalent education
* Good overall computer skills, MS Office, File Maker Pro, and e-mail programs
3-5 years in a manufacturing environment.
The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, and have specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
The noise level in a manufacturing environment can be elevated.
Astronics works a flexible 9/80 schedule (9 hour days Mon- Thurs, 8 hour day Friday #1 and Off Friday #2).
