Position Overview

Mid to senior level software engineer specializing in automation test, tools, and advanced testing methodologies. Capable of designing, creating, and executing automated tests, tools and strategies.

Key Responsibilities

* Own and drive products and/or features to completion
* Help define direction of your team’s products tools
* Mentor other team members with design, coding and test best practices
* Serve as QAE role model for team
* Perform code-reviews
* Help drive detailed requirements by working closely with product owners and business analysts.

* Lead and/or participate in the organization’s technology and design decisions

* Assist development colleagues to ensure the software development process is effectively followed including review of design documents, test documents, and code as well as ensuring performance testing, security reviews, and operational readiness reviews
are completed effectively
* Analyze product requirements to determine test strategy
* Create test plans, test cases, and other QA assets
* Review test plans and cases and provide critical feedback
* Mentor other team members with design and coding best practices
* Serve as development engineer role model for team
* Perform code reviews
* Design and create automated tests to cover test cases
* Troubleshoot automation and product issues with other members of development team

* Investigate testing tools and frameworks for potential use
* Fluent with advanced testing methodologies such as performance, load, and stress

* Train other team members on use of test automation tools
* Coordinate with stakeholders of every discipline to ensure that software quality standards are achieved

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

* Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of experience and education
* 3 years of professional quality assurance software engineering
* Completed at least 3 full product release cycles
* Strong communication and collaboration skills
* Demonstrable experience in implementation design including OOD
* Demonstrable expertise in C#, C++, or Java
* Deep knowledge in object oriented design and service oriented architecture
* Expertise in high-level and implementation design
* Knowledge of service oriented architecture (SOA)
* Demonstrable knowledge of working with agile methodologies
* Experience with Selenium, SOAP UI, SOASTA, or other automated testing tools
* Knowledge of Azure, AWS, or Rackspace

Preferred Qualifications

* Master’s degree in Computer Science
* Solid knowledge of the Microsoft technology stack
* Microsoft Certified Professional Developer (MCPD) certification
* Knowledge of any of nServiceBus, SiteCore, TFS, PowerShell, SQL, NoSQL, and Active Directory
