The Quality Assurance Manager reports to the Director of Quality Control and is responsible for management of Silver Airways Quality Assurance Audit Program. This person is to ensure all maintenance performed on the Silver Airways fleet complies with applicable regulations, safety, and quality requirements; is done so with procedures acceptable to the Authority; and meets all maintenance requirements as required by Silver Airways manuals.
This position has designated / delegated safety risk acceptance authority and requires the applicable level of initial and recurring SMS training.
The Quality Assurance Manager works in direct liaison with all other departments and Outside Service Providers to coordinate and assure that all reported deviations and findings are effectively
At least one year in QA in a supervisory capacity.
At least three (3) years as a QA auditor for an air carrier operating under Part 121 or equivalent c. Must have an A&P license or equivalent certification D. Summary:
Directly supervise Quality Assurance personnel including actions of a disciplinary nature (excluding termination) in his department including assigned personnel at off site location or assignments.
Countermand the decisions of a QA auditor.
Direct “on the job” (OJT) training as required to support auditor skills development.
Assign auditors to other quality tasks at his discretion.
Assign audits in accordance with an audit schedule supporting OMPs and Internal Audit functions.
Direct drug and alcohol testing as part of an accident investigation.
Expect or demand evidence in the case of an internal investigation.
Responsible for Internal and External Audit as described by the Silver Airways Quality Assurance Audit Program.
Revision of the Quality Assurance Manual as required by the Director of Quality Control supporting organization process changes and improvements.
Assures personnel receive periodic formal and on the job training as applicable; meeting the requirements of Silver Airway’s training program.
Establishes and maintains processes to assure task completion is accurate and complete 5. Create and maintain a company audit schedule.
Maintain and authorize revision of the Maintenance Provider Listing.
Approves corrective action item closure.
Accomplishes risk analysis of the audit findings.
Assures that auditors are qualified for the work they are assigned.
Responsible for liaison with external auditors and resolution of external audit findings.
Investigation of reported incidents and accident using accepted industry processes and techniques.
Includes other duties or responsibility assigned by the Director of Quality Control 13. Advises the Director of Quality on matters related to Quality Assurance activities and Air Carrier standards.
The Manager of Quality Assurance is responsible for identifying and reporting possible safety risks in maintenance operations.
