Overview:

Plans, coordinates, and directs the Quality Control Procedures for HAECO Cabin Solutions ensuring all products and services meet established standards as set forth in the applicable FAA regulations and company standards.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

  1. Direct the activities of the inspection personnel ensuring that all inspections and tests are properly performed on all products produced / repaired by HAECO Cabin Solutions.   Ensure that continuous control over materials, facilities, products and services in which HAECO Cabin Solutions is engaged.  
  2. Ensure all of the proper inspection records, reports, and forms used by HAECO Cabin Solutions are properly executed.
  3. Formulate the critical to quality inspection steps required for finished products produced.   
  4. Analyze tests and inspection results to ensure and determine that processes are within the standards of quality and reliability.
  5. Implement procedures to achieve continuous improvement of HAECO Cabin Solutions processes. Suggest changes to achieve best in class quality of HAECO Cabin Solutions products.
  6. Utilize statistical control methods to develop regular reporting of quality metrics, for items such as first pass acceptance and process control.
  7. Assure proper training programs are in place to ensure all Quality Control department personnel are trained to perform duties within their assigned areas.
  8. Schedule inspection personnel to insure adequate inspection duties are assigned to each product, test, and service.
  9. Coordinate functions within the various other departments through the managers to achieve the efficient processing of work while maintaining compliance with all regulatory and company requirements.
  10. Work proactively with other departments to identify root cause of quality escapes and assist when possible in the development of effective corrective actions to prevent a reoccurrence.
  11. Coordinate effectively with management, other departments, HAECO Americas corporate and co-workers to implement and monitor strategic company and departmental initiatives.
  12. Serve as supervisor of assigned staff with responsibilities including hiring of employees, monitoring of performance, administering of disciplinary action, separation of employment, and resolution of employee related issues regarding assigned staff.
  13. Support and enforce Company policies and procedures.
  14. All other duties assigned by the Plant Manager and/or Director of Quality.

Qualifications:

MINIMUM:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in operations, business administration, or an equivalent work experience in the regulatory field may be substituted.
  2. Must be able to communicate effectively within all levels of the organization.
  3. Understanding of 14 CFR Parts 21, 43, & 145 (especially in areas of STC’s, TSO’s and PMA) and working knowledge of Part 121 operation.
  4. Read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  5. Five years experience working in an aerospace environment as an engineer, assembly, or inspection.
  6. Knowledge of statistical process control programming.
  7. Able to occasionally travel (15%) to perform supplier audits, attend program meetings, or attend training seminars.
  8. FAA Certificated Mechanic with Airframe rating or 18 months practical experience in the procedures, practices, inspection methods, materials, tools, machine tools, and equipment used at HAECO Cabin Solutions (facility specific).
  9. Five or more years experience in a supervisory role.

PREFERRED

  1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other scientific field.
  2. Direct experience working with FAA MIDO and/or FSDO or similar government oversight groups
  3. Thorough understanding of 14 CFR parts 21, 43, & 145.
  4. Direct experience in aerospace manufacturing
