Job Description :

The Quality Engineer will provide support for documentation of quality, inspection, production and improving processes on complex aerospace products.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Performs reviews/creates/revises Processes and Procedures to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance to Regulatory regulations, industry standards, and HEICO Policy.

* Performs Process Reviews in order to streamline processes and increase Quality throughput by utilizing common business quality practices. For example: Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Total Quality Management, etc.

* Provide training to other team members as required on policies and procedures.

* Perform internal audits and compile results for audit reports for review by management. Assist with the resolution of audit findings and proper root cause analysis and corrective actions.

* Act as one of the Quality focal for external customer and FAA audits. Provide escort during audits and assist the QA Manger in compiling responses, documents, and data.

* Some travel required to perform on-site supplier audits and approvals at supplier facilities.

* Assist the QA Manager in the creation and maintenance of quality and/or operational metrics.

* Assist Quality Inspectors in resolution of instruction issues, drawing concerns, and questions.

* Work with minimal supervision in a team environment.

Job Requirements :

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s Degree in an appropriate field (i.e. Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Quality) or equivalent combination of education and experience.

EXPERIENCE

* 3-5 Years minimum experience.

* Knowledge of manufacturing and machining processes, aerospace drawing tolerances (e.g. Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance) and use of precision measurement and test equipment for aerospace products.

* Knowledge of calibration systems and requirements (metrology).

* Must be flexible in handling multiple tasks and setting appropriate priorities.

* Must have excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills with ability to work with diverse personnel in order to gain consensus on projects.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

The following certifications are a plus, but not necessarily required:

* Certified (Mechanical) Inspector

* Certified Quality Engineer (CQE).

* Certified FAA A&P mechanic.

* Certified FAA Repairman.

* Certified internal auditor (AS9100 or ISO9001).

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE OR ABILITIES

Language: English required

* Computer Skills: MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Visio. 3D CAD software a plus (e.g. Pro-E, SolidWorks, etc)

* Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Abilities: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
