The Quality Assurance Technician II has responsibilities for activities related to the incoming, manufacturing, assembly and shipping of products. These activities usually involve documentation, documentation review, customer interaction, supplier interaction, auditor interaction; inspect product and or incoming materials, parts and components and process to enhance slide quality.
Support Quality Assurance staff in preparation of all documentation necessary for manufacturing and shipping of products. Research, maintain and provide accurate data to support quality documentation necessary in the delivery of products to our customers. Maintain accurate information as necessary within the MRP system and the various Quality databases to provide data on products. Develop positive relationships with operational leadership and personnel. Anticipate and communicate product and process problems. Work as a trainer/advisor for QA Tech I and operations personnel. Interface with customers, suppliers and auditors as necessary. Witness product testing and perform product final inspection. Perform internal audits of products, processes and work areas. Perform First Article inspections Occasionally work with Design or Product Support Engineering on product issues/improvements. Perform incoming inspection materials, parts, and components Inspections for purchased parts. Accurately document the results of the inspection and testing. Monitor inspection tooling to ensure proper operation and calibration.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
2-4 years of Quality experience
Receiving inspection experience (when applicable)
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to perform basic mathematics including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, and percentages operations.
Ability to communicate clearly both in writing and orally.
Basic clerical skills including filing, typing, organization and telephone answering abilities.
Intermediate computer knowledge including word processing, spread sheets and email.
Ability to interpret customer specification and federal specifications while identifying areas of concern with products.
The ability to prioritize tasks to support customer requirements, delivery schedule. and internal projects
Ability to interpret part prints and specifications.
Able to work well in the team environment.
Understands how to use measuring devices such as a straight ruler, measuring tape and calipers.
Ability to identify and solve problems.
Able to meet schedules and deadlines on assignments.

Must be able to pass and maintain ATF Explosive Clearance.
Strong work ethic
Dependable; is consistently punctual and regular in attendance.
Microsoft Access data entry experience
CADKEY and Cutworks software experience
Working Conditions Physical requirements and environment
Manufacturing Floor environment
Work under short deadlines and changing priorities.
Ability to move around and visually inspect all sides of products.
Exposure to solvent and adhesive vapors.
Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and move or lift up to 50 pounds.
Short notice overtime.
Must wear proper personal protective equipment while on the shop floor.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk, and sit for extended periods of time
