Radar Systems Engineer

and distributing advanced electronic systems, products, and services to commercial, defense and space industries. This entry level engineering position will be responsible for providing technical support for radar altimeters, precision terrain aided navigation sensors and systems, altimeter antennas and other radar systems within the Control Sensor Products (CSP) group. Specific responsibilities include: radar systems and signal processing technical support to active development programs; Requirements definition managed in DOORs, Rolled Throughput Yield (RTY)process and productivity improvement support to manufacturing, competitive intelligence analysis support and Honeywell User Experience (HUE) voice of the customer work. There is no relocation assistance offered with this position. The position will be located in Minneapolis.

YOU MUST HAVE

* Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with three years relevant experience or a Masters
degree in electrical engineering with specialized training in radar systems design and radar signal processing techniques
* Must be a US citizen with an ability to get a US Government Security Clearance

WE VALUE

* Ability to create MATLAB/Simulink simulations to evaluate new design concepts and knowledge and experience programming in C, C++, and/or C#
* Demonstrated technical skills in: RF, Signal Processing, and Communications; Radar System and Navigation
* Demonstrated technical skill in : RF systems architectures (direct down conversion receiver,
superhet, low IF, etc.); Signal processing techniques (e.g., Filter Design: FIR, IIR, Halfband, CIC Decimator, etc.); Modulation techniques (FM, Phase Modulation, CDMA, GMSK, etc.); Digital Communications: Carrier recovery, timing recovery, etc.; Development of efficient Signal processing methods for use in Embedded Processors, FPGAs, or DSPs.; Signal Detection methods; Signal Jamming techniques; Radar Altimeter design and testing; Statistical Techniques
(Monte Carlo analysis, Correlation, Probability Distributions, Estimation
Theory, etc.); Pulse Compression techniques (FMCW, FM Chirp, Phase Coding, etc.);
Doppler Beam Sharpening; Interferometric processing; LPI, LPD, LPE features and
analysis; Terrain Aided Navigation (TAN) techniques
* Excellent communication skills including the ability to directly engage and influence others in change initiatives — including process, productivity and globalization
* Able to break down complex problems into simple ideas for others to understand
* Action oriented, high energy, able to seize opportunities when they arise
* Ability to deal with ambiguity
* Able to effectively cope with change
* Ability to make decisions and take action in the face of limited data availability
and achieve success despite ambiguity
* Ability to manage risk and uncertainty
* Ability to develop creative and elegant solutions to meet requirements while meeting
schedule and cost limitations
* Ability to work well with others with good conflict management skills and the ability to turn
conflicts into opportunities for improvement and to strive for win-win
resolutions
