Job Description

Envoy's Talent Services Department provides recruitment support to various departments in order to hire for a variety of positions system-wide. In this role, the Recruiter will be involved in hiring Airport Agents/Clerks for our Customer Service team.  These positions are high volume, entry-level.


The Recruiter maintains direct and frequent contact with hiring managers and candidates; managing these relationships will allow the Recruiter to meet and exceed hiring manager expectations and provide for a positive candidate experience.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop recruiting plans and sourcing techniques to meet staffing needs for various airport locations
  • Collaborate with Hiring Managers to post internal/external job requisitions and screen resume submissions
  • Coordinate interview sessions and/or hiring events
  • Attend hiring events and career fairs to promote Envoy as a top employer
  • Participate in group and/or one-on-one interviews to select competitive candidates for Agent/Clerk positions
  • Oversee the pre-employment process for selected candidates by initiating background checks, collecting digital fingerprints and scheduling drug tests
  • Track requisition and candidate activity by maintaining up-to-date applicant information with our applicant tracking system, spreadsheets and candidate files
  • Ensure appropriate record-keeping documents are retained for interview files
  • Conduct follow-up reviews on all requisitions to ensure overall compliance
  • Provide guidance and training to Hiring Managers/designees on recruitment processes and systems


The Recruiter will work in a fast-paced environment and must remain responsive to hiring managers and candidates even while traveling.  The Recruiter will also serve as back-up to other Recruiters or Coordinators and may be involved in other department projects as needed.

Job Requirements

In this role, the Recruiter must be flexible, positive, and enthusiastic. Strong interpersonal, organizational and time-management skills are essential. Must be able to work effectively both independently and as a member of a team. The ability to manage multiple and often competing priorities and take initiative with little or no direction is critical. This position experiences heavy travel which varies based on recruitment initiatives. 


Position Requirements

  • Minimum Age: 18
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent amount of work experience 
  • A minimum of 1-2 years' recruitment experience with high-volume hiring
  • Willing and able to travel frequently, including overnight and some weekend trips; amount of travel varies and is dependent on recruiting initiatives but may average once a week
  • When applicable, may be required to work extended hours
  • Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information
  • Proven work experience building constructive and effective relationships with internal and external customers
  • Must be dependable and demonstrate exceptional attendance
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language
  • Possess the legal right to work in the United States


Position Preferences

  • Solid experience recruiting for entry-level, hourly positions
  • Experience developing a variety of sourcing techniques for various positions
  • Experience with writing effective job descriptions
  • Experience conducting group and/or one-on-one interviews
  • Familiarity of an applicant tracking system such as Deltek (HRsmart)
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint


Additional Position Details

  • Candidates must fulfill a fingerprint based criminal background check to qualify for unescorted access privileges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA), if applicable.
  • Candidates must be able to secure appropriate airport authority and/or US Customs security badges, in addition to clearing other airport related requirements, if applicable.
  • This position may be subject to the Department of Transportation (DOT) testing.  Federal law requires Envoy to determine a candidate's history with DOT drug and/or alcohol violations(s) or refusal(s) to test before hiring him/her into a safety-sensitive position.
