General responsibilities of the position: As planned in the departmental Progression Program, perform the simplest to the most complex of the department’s operations in order to install, maintain, test and repair a wide variety of refrigeration and air conditioning equipment and machinery.
Perform related and general duties.
Keep equipment and work station clean and in good working condition.

Specific responsibilities of position: Install, maintain, test and repair complex air conditioning and ventilation equipment as well as electric, electronic and pneumatic controls.

Qualifications required: Desired skills
•Broad knowledge of refrigeration, air conditioning as well as principles of electricity, controls, safety devices and repair techniques.
•Ability to use shop mathematics and formulas, interpret drawings and specifications, and use various instruments such as gas detection, gauges, pumps and electrical meters of different types.
•DEP in refrigeration systems.
•Hold the Refrigeration Mechanic License as required by law
•Hold the qualifying license to handle refrigerants.
•Keep the following certificates in good standing: refrigeration and air conditioning mechanic

Training
•DEP in refrigeration systems.
•Hold the Refrigeration Mechanic License as required by law
•Hold the qualifying license to handle refrigerants.
•Keep the following certificates in good standing: refrigeration and air conditioning mechanic

Experience
• The candidate will ideally have 3 to 4 years of relevant experience

Field of studies: Industrial Maintenance

Additional Information: Rotating working hours. In accordance with the terms of the collective agreement in force.
