Landing Systems
Today, the fully integrated landing systems we design, test and manufacture help millions of passengers reach their destinations safely. But we aren’t satisfied with today’s success. Our global Landing Systems team is committed to continuous improvement – we work hard to make our solutions lighter-weight, stronger and more technically advanced, so that plane travel can be safer, more affordable and more sustainable in the years to come. We are looking for the best and brightest to fly and land with us!

We have an immediate opening for a Regional Business Manager (Americas) in our Landing Systems business unit in Troy, OH, other USA UTC Aerospace Systems - Landing Systems sites, or remote/virtual.

Role:
The primary focus of this role is to serve as a liaison between Landing Systems and the airline customer; identify and implement an overall strategy on a platform and airline specific basis and assume a leadership role in the resolution of commercial problems at their respective airlines.
Essential / Key Responsibilities:
• Manage all airline sales activities within a defined region.
• Pursue new and incremental business opportunities in accordance with business unit objectives.
• Meet sales budget and manage policy deployment initiatives for the region.
• Interface with airline customers at all levels and functions in the sales and support of Landing Systems’ products.
• Interface with Landing Systems’ organization to manage regional needs (contracts, finance, engineering, demand planning, etc).
• Manage/oversee entire customer business relationship.
• Manage all facets of new aircraft/fleet introduction at the airline customer level to ensure smooth entry-into-service and compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
Activities to include: initial provisioning spares coordination and monitoring, coordination with other Landing
Systems functional areas to ensure on-time availability of non-Landing Systems parts (tire pressure sensors,
brake quick disconnects, wheel covers, brake shipping containers), and coordination with customer’s tire supplier.
• Manage and lead business (new and follow-on) negotiations with assigned customers
• Organize and lead periodic business review meetings and/or regular reporting to/with assigned customers covering topics such as in-service product performance and problem resolution, quality, spare parts delivery performance, and MRO turn time performance

Qualification: Required:
• 5+ years’ sales experience in the airline/aviation, heavy equipment and/or equivalent industry experience.
• Must be able to verify U.S. Person Status as defined by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)

Preferred:
The ideal candidate will have the following combination of skills and experience:
•Excellent oral and written communications skills with the ability to work and interact at all levels of an organization.
• Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships
• Ambitious self-starter who can manage competing priorities

Must be able to verify U.S. Person Status as defined by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
Education: 4 year degree from accredited college or university
