POSITION INFORMATION
 
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for safe maintenance operations of Alaska Airlines, and compliance with all company, FAA and governmental safety rules and regulations, including the airworthiness of all Alaska Airlines aircraft released from maintenance.
- Direct and coordinate the daily operational effort of the department system wide within the policies and procedures established by corporate policy and by the Maintenance and Engineering Divisions.
- Ensure timely troubleshooting of discrepancies, and initiation of corrective actions, as required, to maintain the airworthiness and reliability of Alaska Airlines aircraft throughout the operating day.
- Establish and maintain effective communications with contracted repair agencies, continually evaluating their compliance with Alaska Airlines approved maintenance policies and procedures and to ensure the quality of their work. 
- Oversee and adjust staffing levels across outstations per schedule driven changes for effective execution of an effective maintenance program.
-Establish long range plans for capital spends across all line maintenance outstations.
- Responsible for budget for Line Maintenance outstations.
- Responsible for all scheduled inspections and maintenance of routine/non-routine requirements are satisfied in accordance with Alaska Airlines policies and procedures.
- Responsible that all personnel assigned to perform maintenance on Alaska Airlines aircraft, engines and components including employees of contracted agencies, are properly trained and qualified.
- Ensure that formal and on-the-job training are maintained in compliance with Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) 121.375, GPM policies and procedures, and departmental guidelines.
- Responsible for execution of maintenance program.
- Responsible for guidance in administering the "Bargaining Unit" Contract with Line Maintenance Outstations.
- Serve as member of the Continuing Analysis and Surveillance Review Board (CASRB).
- Serve as member of the Reliability Analysis Program Control Board.
- Serve as Advisory Member of the Continuing Analysis and Surveillance Working Group (CASWG).
- Provide guidance and direction for immediate corrective actions and long-term solutions to audit findings for the line maintenance out stations 
- Carry out such other duties as may be directed by the Managing Director of Line Maintenance
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience successfully leading 20 or more employees at a manager level or above required 
- A&P License is required
- Bachelor degree preferred
- 10+ years of Line Maintenance experience on jet aircraft preferred
- 4+ years of experience in budgeting, aircraft reliability and production required
- Working knowledge of FAR and safety regulations required
- Effective communicator with a proven ability to motivate and lead others required
- Ability to travel frequently up to 40% required
- Full understanding of AS maintenance program requirements preferred
- High integrity with impeccable ethics in safety and compliance required
- Ability to successfully implement and achieve company objectives required
- Technical knowledge of maintaining 737 preferred
- Knowledge of the AMFA CBA along with labor relations skills preferred
- Working knowledge of operational analysis tools preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Minimum age of 18 required
