The position is based in the Bellevue, WA sales office and requires the successful candidate to be domiciled in the Seattle, WA area. 

The account portfolio will consist of, but is not limited to, accounts in Washington, Alaska, and Idaho. The Sales Account Executive (SAE) is responsible for maximizing revenues and market share focusing on premium revenue for Delta, Air France, KLM, Alitalia and Virgin Atlantic's most strategic corporate and agency customers. Primary responsibilities include maintaining and managing corporate and agency relationships, contract negotiation and implementation, performance evaluation, and maintenance of agreements with key customer interfaces. New business development will be a priority both within existing accounts and by prospecting and signing new agreements. High proficiency in data analysis and excellent communications skills are needed to be the successful candidate. The SAE will have a budget of resources from which to create and apply tactical efforts to improve revenue and share for DL and JV partners. SAE will develop professional and collaborative relationships with sellers within the region, agency and corporate sales development, strategic sales, sales support center, and operational groups which benefit customers and Delta. SAE is responsible for orchestrating team selling, where applicable, with other SEA based sellers, agency sales, business development, alliance and code share partners, and the sales support center. The SAE will plan and execute account strategies based on the Flight Plan and Global Sales goals. Additionally, the SAE is required to submit sales plans, account profiles, and activity reports to manager in support of assigned accounts on a regular basis. This position is responsible and accountable for territory performance measured by the CDS and GAIN systems. SAE will also work with the Director and DSM to elevate DL stature within SEA and strategic communities that advance business goals. This includes developing partnerships with organizations which deliver strong marketing, civic, and business value for Delta. 

Qualifications: 

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or related fields highly preferred or equivalent experience

  • 2+ years of direct Delta sales account management
  • 2+ years contracting/negotiating CSA agreements
  • 2+ years contracting/negotiating GAIN agreements
  • 2+ years contracting/negotiating new business agreements (MSA/CSA/SkyBonus)
  • Create and maintain profitable business relationships with assigned accounts 
  • Demonstrate aptitude for strong interpersonal relationships and business decision making skills 
  • Must be able to manage change with resilience and display tremendous drive and commitment 
  • Must possess strong skills in written and verbal communications, data analysis, negotiation, time management, organization, planning, and presenting 
  • Ability to create/generate sales reports to identify opportunities 
  • Prioritize information based on value and develop/execute plans to achieve opportunities 
  • Demonstrate leadership capabilities and have the ability to disseminate information professionally according to Delta values 
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) 
  • Required knowledge of Delta's Reservation System, SFDC, CDS/Prism, and other DL internal systems that support sales activities 
  • Willing and able to travel to support assigned accounts and support client engagement activities
  • Able to work with collaborative supervision and work well in a team environment
