Leading OEM supplier of capital test and measurement machinery to the worldwide automotive and tire industries located in Streetsboro, Ohio is seeking an Aftermarket Sales Engineer. This position will have direct sales and account management responsibilities for aftermarket product sales in a region that includes North and South America. The selected individual will possess prior technical sales experience with demonstrated results selling capital equipment to the tire or automotive manufacturing industry. A basic knowledge of product design (software/PLC/electrical/mechanical) along with an understanding of quality measurement and manufacturing/assembly processes are required.
Key job responsibilities include:
•Direct sales of equipment upgrade programs to the tire industry
•Promote entire aftermarket product portfolio including equipment & software upgrades, planned maintenance programs, training services and consumable parts
•Meet with clients to develop strong customer relationships and influence project specifications.
•Deliver value focused sales presentations, negotiate contracts and close deals
•Actively manage, support and develop sales channels to maximize coverage of the market.
•Work with Product Management to respond to technical specifications and prepare quotes
•Maintain Salesforce CRM to generate routine reports that include forecasting, opportunity analysis and account planning
•Market analysis to determine customer needs and new product justification along with input on value and price targets
•Monitor and evaluate the activities and products of the competition
Qualified candidate will possess the following:
•Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a Business degree with a proven technical aptitude
•5+ years' sales experience
•Strong communication and organizational skills - position requires working closely with Engineering teams both externally at our customers and internally within our organization
•International travel experience required with ability to travel 65%+
•Ability to work in a “fast paced” work environment, as you will be required to schedule and work on various customer multi-priority projects
