Position Description

AMETEK Energy & Process Instrumentation is a worldwide manufacturer of process analyzers and instrumentation. Position responsibilities include:
- Management of global sales and technical sales support for all Process Instrument Business Unit product lines.
- Achieve the business units budgeted sales quota for the year.
- Management of the worldwide sales channel and distributed service resources.
- Management of all area sales managers, excluding those located within Int'l office and regional service managers.
- Develop sales quotas for each sales and service office of the channel.
- Take necessary action to insure all sales offices are selling all product types.
- Management of spare parts sales and retrofit quote generation, order and installations.
- Maintain the Channel Performance Reports (accuracy is important).
- Generate a monthly report/forecast for the sales department.
- Submit a weekly report on progress against monthly forecast.
- Communicate with the credit department for new customer accounts.
- Insure the sales department procedures are always ISO compliant.
- Manage all details associated with sales training activities for the channel.
- Interface and support our international offices as we would with our best representative.
- Perform additional duties as required.

Position Requirements

- B.S. in Engineering, Science or Marketing with analytical or science studies or equivalent industry experience plus additional training in chemistry and analytical instrumentation.
- Five years or more experience in technical sales of instrumentation into industrial markets. Two to five years in sales management as regional, district or Technical/Product/Market sales manager.
- Possess application knowledge of process analyzers and applications.
- Must be available for extensive domestic and international travel.
- Good writing and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to motivate and direct sales personnel.
- Good time management skills.
- Good people skills with customers, representatives and employees.
- Capable of using computers for word processing and spreadsheets.
