SAP Tech Lead

This position is for a SAP Tech lead to provide technical leadership and support across the SAP HCM and SuccessFactors technology platform. The candidate for this role will be providing strategic guidance on SAP application development, infrastructure & system administration. 

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES IN THIS ROLE
Provide technical leadership to the application teams for new development, enhancements and ongoing maintenance of Delta Air Lines SAP HR system landscape
Work closely with SAP functional leads and business partners to deliver quality project results
Establish strategies, processes, policies and guidelines to enable the SAP team to function as a high performing team 
Provide guidance on SAP best practices as it relates to both the implementation and ongoing operations of an enterprise landscape
Review the current systems and provide a vision for a future state architecture that leverages cloud technologies and platforms and provides for instant scalability when needed
Provide oversight to all SAP systems that include systems such as ABAP, PI, ECM, Fiori, SuccessFactors, Solution Manager
Configure and develop PI/PO (Process Integration / Process Orchestration) interfaces using various adapters
Establish PI Connectivity with various Application Systems like ECC, CRM and 3rdparties and Configure and monitor PI alerts in Solution Manager 
Deploying, administering and managing SAP and application integrations
Collaborate with many teams including networking, security, middleware, and development and operations support groups to efficiently and effectively deliver operational excellence 
Collaborates with other Delta IT groups in order to solve technical issues. Establishes and monitors escalation of problems
Manage project planning and execution for major activities such as software upgrades, software configuration changes and hardware upgrade or replacement
Set/assist with strategy on infrastructure products and new technology related to the SAP systems 
Work with development teams in support of application performance tuning and troubleshooting
Partner with Change and Release Management to ensure a stable operating environment during any transitions and changes
Enable automated monitoring and health checks into the system and be the driving force to define the standards and implement the solutions required to minimize manual administrator involvement
Ensure all processes are in compliance with Delta's policies and procedures, including SOX, PCI, and data retention processes
Serve as a mentor to other team members and provide technical guidance to the management team


WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR? / WHAT EXPERIENCE DO YOU NEED?

5 years of experience working as a Lead in large enterprise SAP environments
Must have an in-depth all round technical and functional knowledge in SAP and network infrastructure
Exemplary troubleshooting and ability to drive root cause analysis on incidents and problems
Excellent working knowledge of ITIL/ITSM service management practices, specifically incident management, change management and problem management
Experience working with Basis administration team is required
Understand and be fluent in the entire SDLC for SAP upgrades and enhancement pack implementations 
Must have experience with upgrades in a critical, 24/7, high availability, and highly enhanced SAP environment
Ability to conduct SAP infrastructure assessments
Ability to build partnerships with technical team members across the organization 
Solid foundational knowledge in server, networking, security and storage disciplines
Demonstrated excellent customer service skills; ability to build strong formal and informal relationships. 
Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to transition smoothly between technical and business vernacular, tailoring communications to the audience.
