•Responsible for working with sales and marketing to define product specifications.
•Responsible for circuit design, schematic capture, PCB layout, and verification to specifications of new products for the instrumentation industry taking into consideration mechanical, software, testing, cost, performance, and manufacturing constraints.
•Exceptional ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness in analog electronic design. Applies, develops, and tests highly advanced technologies, theories, concepts, and principles.
•Create and/or review documentation to ensure accuracy regarding design, calibration, test, and assembly and other documentation as required by the Engineering Development Process
•Create and implement test plans and procedures for products based on given requirements. Analyze test results to verify product performance and compliance to requirements.
•Oversee and mentor of junior engineers working on analog designs.
This position requires a B.S. in Electrical Engineering (M.S. a plus)
•A minimum of 7 years’ experience in Analog design using discrete transistors, amplifiers, Comparators, ADC’s, DAC’s, with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in one or more of the following:
•Design of Signal Conditioners, Filters, and Digitizers
•Analog and/or Mixed Signal Simulation
•Uncertainty and Worst Case Simulation and Analysis of Accuracy, DC, AC, and Transient Response
•Design for Low Noise, low distortion, safety, and EMC Compliance.
•PCB strip line techniques for minimal noise, crosstalk, EMI, and impedance control.
•Switching power supply design. Phase margin, gain/pole-zero/crossover.
