This individual will play a critical role on the Planning & Execution Team within Cargo. Our team has a very clear purpose: to work across the division to plan and execute on Cargo’s most important initiatives. We help the Cargo team achieve its goals by providing support in: strategic planning, portfolio management of Cargo’s key projects, project management, business data & reporting solutions, and cargo-wide employee communication & engagement initiatives. We work to create a culture of continuous improvement, promote the successful roll-out and adoption of key initiatives and drive performance and engagement by working to make Cargo a great place to work. Key activities for this individual will include leading large-scale, cross-functional project teams to design, plan, and implement the initiatives that are critical to our business.

Duties & Responsibilities

* Learn all facets of the Cargo business and the broader airline business – from sales and marketing, to customer experience, to operations and revenue management

* Build relationships with a broad-range of experienced professionals – partnering with managers and leaders throughout Cargo and act as a liaison to departments outside of Cargo

* Collaborate on a wide-range of projects that include the chance to research, participate and lead strategic planning, and work on teams implementing improvements throughout the business

* Partner with business units to plan and execute strategic initiatives ranging from organizational culture & engagement to business process improvement & technology-related implementations

* Identify opportunities for strengthening the way we do business and partnering with the relevant managers and leaders to create solutions related to the opportunity

* Create and maintain project plans and documentation such as communication, training and change management plans

* Develop ways to increase employee and customer adoption

* Lead the planning and implementation of projects

* Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables

* Define project tasks and resource requirements

* Develop full scale project plans

* Assemble and coordinate project staff

* Plan and schedule project timelines

* Track project deliverables using appropriate tools

* Provide direction and support to project team

* Monitor and communicate progress to all stakeholders

* Apply a change management process and tools to create a strategy to support adoption of the changes

* Support the design, development, delivery and management of communication

* Conduct impact analyses, assess change readiness and identify key stakeholders

Job Qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree or higher or equivalent work experience

* 3 or more years of experience leading (directly or indirectly) cross-functional teams

* Project Management certification preferred or related work experience managing large projects

* Communication strategy and planning experience at the project/team level preferred

* Experience as an OCM Specialist preferred

* Very experienced in leading and managing large scale, cross-functional projects

* Great at collaborating and communicating with all levels effectively

* A self-starter who is good at building relationships quickly

* A seasoned project manager successful at working with others to drive action, decisions, and who is good at removing barriers that get in the way of progress

* A “let’s get things done” kind of person

* Well-versed in the world of communications and change management
