Job Description

This person will act as focal point in development, communication, and execution of worldwide demand/supply forecast for A/C spare parts and contingency plans, to meet Inventory’s overall financial & operational goals. Responsible for establishing ownership, demand plan, maintaining and monitoring aircraft spare parts. Determine spares levels, distribution and allocation at different network locations based on various forecast models. Lead day to day activities inventory coordinates in the function of maintaining provisioning ratios develop usage forecast, & achieving optimal inventory levels. Perform Ad –Hoc analysis as required.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Familiarization with Project Management techniques
  • In depth understanding & experience of airline inventory provisioning programs
  • Develop performance improvement initiatives for cost analysis and proper service level support
  • Be able to effectively delegate to support staff
  • Analyze & forecast demand, inventory to develop demand/supply plans that meet AA’s financial plan
  • Evaluate risks, plan and implement contingency plans to mitigate
  • Coordinate closely with procurement & engineering to ensure adequate A/C parts provisioning has been accomplished to support new fleet
  • Present product status updates on a weekly basis to executive management team
  • Improve demand planning processes. Identify improvement opportunities, marshal resources, and drive projects to completion, to achieve targeted measurable benefits

Job Qualifications

  • Must have previous experience in Inventory Management/Supply Chain operations
  • Strong ability to prioritize and juggle multiple concurrent projects
  • Strong experience with Excel/MS PowerPoint preferred/required
  • Aptitude for detailed logical analysis and problem solving
  • Ability to effectively interpret data requests and provide direction to user groups
  • Critical thinking and the ability to see business implications of strategic initiatives
  • Proactively manage priorities to meet deadlines, identify underlying trends in data, and provide root cause analysis
  • High level of decisiveness, initiative, and attention to detail
  • Self-starter who is not afraid to get out into the field to clearly understand field issues, is able to quickly find creative solutions for existing problems
  • Excellent time management, multi-tasking, and organizational skills as well as the ability to work under the pressure of deadlines in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • College Degree (Business/Statistics/ Operations Research preferred) required, MBA preferred
  • Working knowledge of internal systems like AAPICS, DECS preferred
  • Ability to utilize Airline IPC, AMM and CMM
  • Must fulfill FAA criminal background checks for Airport Security Identification Display Areas (SIDA Badge requirement)
