The Category Leader, Senior role will report to the Director of Procurement Services. This position will be solely focused on managing the Fixed Base Operator (FBO) category spend. The Category Leader, Senior assists in the development of select global external Supplier and Category strategies, as designated, to drive long-term improvements in Service, Quality, Price, Delivery, and Technology (SQPDT), with the engagement and support of key stakeholders that enhance competitive and commercial performance of the company and its customer base. The Category Leader, Senior manages a complex portfolio across a large number of suppliers with a spend in excess of $50M. The Category Leader, Senior executes the relevant Category strategies across the managed portfolio in-region, by selecting and negotiating with approved suppliers and then placing contracts in response to product or service requirements. The Category Leader, Senior manages those contracts through to delivery. The Category Leader, Senior assists in developing a robust process and governance framework to guide the day-to-day global activities of the Purchasing group on a consistent basis, and support the continuous improvement initiatives to satisfy the business needs in terms of efficiency and effectiveness. The Category Leader, Senior operates within the supply chain management/purchasing team across the full product/service life cycle ensuring supplier commercial issues are appropriately and expeditiously resolved.
50%: With a spend in excess of $50M, manages FBO strategic suppliers to meet business objectives, partnering with these suppliers to build capabilities that meet the expanding needs of the business through effective Service, Quality, Price, Delivery, and Technology (SQPDT) performance. Ensure standard processes for requests for information, requests for proposals, and contract documentation are being followed across the managed portfolio.
30%: Maintains and executes the Category and Supplier Strategies, as well as the Purchasing and Sourcing processes, aligning, where practical, with industry best standards in compliance with NetJets purchasing systems and processes and policies. Applies tools, techniques and processes to manage the supplier relationship and identify areas of improvement and/or corrective actions needed.
20%: Ensures the cost of ownership map is executed across the select purchased portfolio to maximize contracts and reduce risk to business operations. Leverage global resources to ensure maximum purchasing power is realized. Interface with suppliers and internal business stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate communication of specifications and product/service requirements, and identify, implement and track performance of cost saving initiatives. Enlist supplier involvement in developing joint process improvements/solutions to reduce total cost of acquisition.

Type of Credentials/Licenses: Certified Purchasing Manager and certified Project Manager designations desired but not required
Related Work Experience: 6-8 years
-Proven track record of managing a purchasing portfolio in a global, multi-functional environment, including complex tax, regulatory and industry-specific requirements.
