This position supports the Airport Customer Service division; supporting the day to day management of targeted and strategic communications for the division; providing communications to more than 30,000 ACS and Cargo Ops employees worldwide. Other responsibilities are to: drive employee and leader engagement; inform audiences by mass communication methods and innovative uses of technology which could include email, intranet portal, audio lines, and videos; coordinate consistent messaging and communication procedures; Writes and edits memos, speeches, talking points and presentations for division. This involves consulting with leaders including senior level leadership; to include creating news stories, employee correspondences, policy and procedure updates and clarifications; creation and implementation of divisional and targeted communication plans; act as liaison for divisional communication projects for cross-divisional directed communications; shares responsibility for monitoring, measuring and tracking effectiveness of communications to include target plans/campaigns. Participate in training, mentoring and development of new team members; assist with divisional and corporate events.
Bachelor's degree required in public relations, journalism, mass communications, graphic design or related field or a minimum of 2-4 years of experience in communications or media relations position. Knowledge of the airline industry and Airport Customer Service preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to communicate effectively to all levels of management and frontline employee groups. Ability to manage multiple tasks, work under pressure and meet required deadlines. Proficient knowledge in MS Office, InDesign, Illustrator, PhotoShop. Graphic Design and Video production a plus. Experience with web publishing tools and website maintenance/development; SharePoint. Experience in publications planning and implementation; social media skills. Some travel required. Must be performing satisfactorily in current position.
