American Airlines, Inc. has multiple openings for a Senior Data Warehouse Developer to perform the following duties: Responsible for the maintenance of the data warehouse infrastructure and providing technical expertise and direction in all phases of the data warehouse development lifecycle. Design, develop, modify, and test software applications using SDLC life cycle, IBM Data Stage, IBM Tivoli, SQLServer, Oracle and Teradata technologies. Develop Framework for IBM DataStage application and implement ETL Automation. Installation, configuration and setup of IBM InfoSphere Information Server DataStage 8.x/11.x. Establish and enforce DataStage standards and architecture. Provide expertise in DataStage and Tivoli Administration. Create job flows using IBM Tivoli scheduling tool and create dependencies. Installation and Configuration of WebSphere, Patches, and Fix Packs for IBM InfoSphere DataStage and IBM Tivoli Workload Scheduler 8.x/9.x. Support Security Groups, Active Sessions, and Logs; Unlock Data stage Jobs, Monitor Datasets and Scratch Disk, Maintain Work Load Schedules and Assets from Web Console and Operations Console. Plan, schedule, and conduct decision support system tests and monitor results. Provide appropriate estimates on development tasks and final source and target capacity requirements. Support and troubleshoot production systems and optimize performance by resolving production problems. Perform code extracts from source code control system and summarization routines. Troubleshoot data issues in the Data warehouse and IBM DataStage. Ensure system design is aligned with business requirements through appropriate documentation and requirements mapping. Resolve production problems and provide timely follow-up on problem reports.
Master’s Degree in computer science, information technology, computer engineering, computer information systems, computer applications, or related field, plus 3 years of experience in: IBM DataStage ETL Tool including DataStage Sequencers, Routines, and Shared Containers, InfoSphere Information Server Suite & Foundation tools, ABAP extract, Complex Flat file, XML parsers, Java stages, MQ, Web services, and CDC tool, Teradata, Oracle, and SQL Server databases, Red Hat Linux (RHEL) Installation and Configuration of IBM DataStage Server Build
Unix Shell Scripting and crontab management, IBM Tivoli Scheduler (Workload Management) Installation and Configuration, IBM CDC and Teradata Data Mover installation and configuration setup. A bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of experience will be accepted in the alternative.
Schedule: 40 hours per week/8 a.m.-5 p.m./M-F.
