American Airlines, Inc. has multiple openings for a Senior Data Warehouse Developer to perform the following duties: Responsible for designing, developing, modifying and testing software application using SDLC life cycle, IBM DataStage, SQL Server, Oracle and Teradata technologies. Utilize DataStage in high-level design and deployment of full lifecycle terabyte-sized data warehouses. Develop Framework for IBM DataStage Application Architecture design, as well as establishing and enforce DataStage standards and architecture. Ensure that the system design is aligned with the business requirements through appropriate documentation and requirements mapping. Teach, mentor, and lead junior developer’s DataStage skills including best practices, both onshore and offshore. Provide appropriate estimates on development tasks and final source and target capacity requirements. Troubleshoot data issues in the Data warehouse and IBM DataStage issues. Plan, schedule, and conduct decision support systems tests and monitor test results.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, or related field, plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or in IBM DataStage and demonstrated experience in: IBM Data Stage ETL Tool including DataStage Sequencers, Routines, and Shared Containers, ABAP extract, Complex Flat file, XML parsers, Java stages, MQ, Web services, and CDC tool, IBM Tivoli scheduling tool, Unix Shell scripting, Teradata, Oracle, and SQL server databases, Extracting data from SAP systems and basic transactions in SAP.
Schedule: 40 hours per week/8 a.m.-5 p.m./M-F.
