Manage financial analysis organization that partners with the business to identify and analyze revenue and cost optimization opportunities, including support of labor negotiations
Manage flight profitability analyses, including management of the system and regular production and distribution of management reports
Analyze and interpret financial data for use in management decisions
Drive process improvements and innovations within the department
Develop advanced financial models and conduct analysis using a broad range of quantitative tools and techniques (trend analyses on past financial and operational performance, root cause analyses, analysis of profitability drivers, scenario modeling for future options, unit-cost benchmarking, etc.)
Develop recommendations for senior management based on analysis findings, and create reports and presentations for senior leadership
All aspects of managing a financial analysis team, including work prioritization, resource allocation, development and performance evaluation
Minimum 8 years of professional experience, with at least 5 years in finance/analytical role, with a strong emphasis in financial analysis
Management of a team; ability to lead and motivate; team player
Ability to make decisions and recommendations based on data and analysis
Critical thinking skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Self-directing; able to meet deadlines in an environment of constantly changing priorities and data
Strong proficiency in Excel and other data analysis tools
Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent data gathering and analysis skills
Master’s degree or equivalent
Expert level knowledge in Excel, including the ability to develop complex multivariable models that may require programming in visual basic for applications
Experience with databases, including the ability to develop complex models derived from large amounts of data.
