Description
  • Manage financial analysis organization that partners with the business to identify and analyze revenue and cost optimization opportunities, including support of labor negotiations
  • Manage flight profitability analyses, including management of the system and regular production and distribution of management reports
  • Analyze and interpret financial data for use in management decisions
  • Drive process improvements and innovations within the department
  • Develop advanced financial models and conduct analysis using a broad range of quantitative tools and techniques (trend analyses on past financial and operational performance, root cause analyses, analysis of profitability drivers, scenario modeling for future options, unit-cost benchmarking, etc.)
  • Develop recommendations for senior management based on analysis findings, and create reports and presentations for senior leadership
  • All aspects of managing a financial analysis team, including work prioritization, resource allocation, development and performance evaluation
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 8 years of professional experience, with at least 5 years in finance/analytical role, with a strong emphasis in financial analysis
  • Management of a team; ability to lead and motivate; team player
  • Ability to make decisions and recommendations based on data and analysis
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Self-directing; able to meet deadlines in an environment of constantly changing priorities and data
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and other data analysis tools
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent data gathering and analysis skills

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or equivalent
  • Expert level knowledge in Excel, including the ability to develop complex multivariable models that may require programming in visual basic for applications
  • Experience with databases, including the ability to develop complex models derived from large amounts of data.
  • Airline or related experience
