Position will directly support the NAVAIR AIR 4.1.13 Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) Division with respect to E3 Systems Engineering. Applies engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, and evaluate Naval airborne platforms, weapons, and avionics with respect to E3 systems engineering. Attends preliminary, critical and other design reviews to ensure E3 requirements are properly defined and implemented. Reviews and prepares engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation ensuring E3 requirements are considered in the design and implementation scheme. Applies E3 engineering experience to perform functions such as system integration, configuration management, quality assurance, testing, acquisition, and resource management. Analyzes, designs, develops, implements, tests, and evaluates automated data processing software related to engineering or functional requirements of military systems, associated support systems, or management informational systems with respect to E3. Provides inputs for E3 test methods and procedures. Engineering Management: Acts as E3 engineering team leader or supervisor developing engineering procedures and’ controls, managing project efforts, and taking the lead in problem resolution. Interfaces with system or program contractors, vendors, and Government representatives regarding the technical aspects of engineering programs/projects with respect to E3.

Education/Experience/Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: A bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline from a school of engineering having at least one (1) professional engineering curriculum which was accredited by the ABET and nine (9) years of professional engineering experience is required. At least four (4) years of the experience shall have been as a team leader or supervisor performing engineering management functions and at least seven (7) years of the experience shall have consisted of performing engineering functions with respect to aircraft E3 systems engineering and/or E3 T&E. 

Education/Experience is a contract requirement.
