Job Summary: Oversees the development, design and production of repair, modification, process and inspection documentation in support of Delta's worldwide maintenance activities. Assist and provide guidance in the development of structural analysis for aircraft repairs and damaged aircraft structure. Assist in troubleshooting and repair development for faulty aircraft systems and damaged interior components.Evaluate and interpret AD, FAR, and Delta policy requirements to ensure compliance in all engineering documentation. Aid in analyzing and correcting problems which hamper the maintenance support activities of the department. Practices safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.



Job Qualifications: Four year accredited undergraduate engineering degree (Aeronautical/Aerospace, Mechanical) required. May require working odd hours based on operational requirements. Preferred Qualifications: At least 2 years of specific experience in the design, analysis of aircraft or mechanical structural. At least 1 year of experience providing engineering support for line aircraft and live aircraft operations. Strong background in Structural Analysis, including Statics, Mechanics of Deformable Bodies, Materials Science and Fracture Mechanics. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Adaptable and flexible. Problem-solving background with strong analytical skills. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with all levels of maintenance and engineering. Ability to perform and excel in a stressful environment with short deadlines. Strong organizational and time management skills. Should be able to comprehend and be knowledgeable in FAA regulations. Should possess a thorough understanding of maintenance requirements, processes, and procedures. Must be currently performing satisfactorily in present position. Working knowledge of Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, Access) and AutoCAD (or similar CAD software). Develops both strategic and tactical plans that create a safety-conscious environment resulting in employee safety and well-being.
NOTE: Successful applicants will be placed in appropriate engineering job classification and salary range commensurate with experience and abilities (e.g., Senior Engineer or Engineer).
