Job Description

The Software, Architecture and Infrastructure Services (SAIS) team is looking for a highly skilled and exceptional Infrastructure Engineer who would lead diverse IT Infrastructure efforts interfacing with multiple vendors, delivery teams, business units, managed service providers and IT representatives. The Infrastructure Engineer will interface with infrastructure architects, application architects, infrastructure team lead, project managers, software developers, and management to document, communicate and implement systems as a part of project-based application construction and maintenance to support the Operations Technology (OT) and Flight Operations and Crew Technology (FOCT) IT organization and related business units.

  • Speaks clearly and persuasively in all situations
  • Strong Time Management skills
  • Strong technical documentation and presentation skills
  • Candidate must be a team player who works and communicates well with technical and non-technical resources
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent experience

Job Qualifications (Continued)

Desired Skills:

  • 4+ years of Experience with WebSphere Application Server or tcServer
  • 3+ years of Experience in Shell, Jython, PERL scripting
  • 4+ years of Experience working with Unix and Windows environments
  • 2+ years of Experience with virtualization technologies
  • 4+ Years of Experience with development, troubleshooting and performance tuning JEE applications
  • 4+ years of Experience in installing and configuring Web Servers e.g. : IHS or Apache
  • Experience with WebSphere, MQ
  • Experience with automation – Infrastructure as code (CHEF, Puppet) tools or deployment automation scripting
  • Experience in installing Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Server 2012, Microsoft SQL, Microsoft IIS & Microsoft Active Directory
  • Provide good understanding of concepts related to server load balancing, WAS clustering and other application scaling concepts
  • Troubleshoot and resolve middleware issues across development, testing, and production environments
  • Knowledge and experience with the various security components such as WebSphere security, LDAP, SSL certificates and other third party security products
  • Able to review the performance monitoring of the respective environment, determine opportunities to refine the configuration of a component and determine new resource / capacity requirements
  • The individual must be experienced in performing problem diagnostics to determine the root cause of an issue
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and possess the ability to work with limited direction while being highly productive

  • 2+ years of experience in Data caching technologies e.g.: Gigaspaces
  • Experience with monitoring tools (Dynatrace, VMWare vRealize Operations Manager, VMWare Log Insight )
