Thank you for your interest in the Senior Manager-Corporate Communications position which is based at our headquarters in Atlanta, GA Acts as strategic communications counsel to divisional leaders to support employee engagement and corporate announcements.
Develops and executes communication plans based on divisional needs and direction from the General Manager.
Also helps support external communications to enhance and protect the public image of the company. This includes assisting with message development for leaders on key communications issues/events and serving as a spokesperson for the airline.
Must work collaboratively with company communicators in developing cross-divisional plans and events, including contributing to employee communications vehicles.
Will communicate effectively with all levels of management and front-line employee groups.
Will work with a high degree of initiative and manage multiple tasks, work under pressure, and meet deadlines as required.
Will be flexible in dealing with changing priorities.
Will apply excellent written and verbal communications skills and strong analytical and negotiation skills as well as strong project management skills.
Will use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Develops both strategic and tactical plans that create a safety-conscious environment resulting in employee safety and well-being.
Practices safety conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.
Will perform related professional responsibilities as needed.

Job Summary for Manager, Corporate Communications with Delta Air Lines:
Responsible for developing and maintaining constructive relationships with divisional stakeholders, key media organizations, and external influencers. Reports to and works closely with the General Manager, Employee Communications to carry out the necessary internal and external communications strategies and tactics. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Requires bachelor's degree/equivalent in communications, journalism or related field.
Requires 5 years corporate communications airline experience, including 5 years of experience in day-to-day relationships with executives and news media, in crisis and employee communications, as well as in labor or government affairs. Experience may be gained concurrently.
Up to 25% travel required, domestic/international.
