Job Description
The Boeing company subsidiary, Digital Receiver Technology (DRT,) is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer which would be based out of thier Germantown Maryland location.  DRT designs and manufactures high-performance Software Defined Radios (SDR) for wireless test and synthetic instrumentation solutions. DRT was acquired by The Boeing Company in December 2008. 

Responsibilities:
Analyze and troubleshoot complex RF and Digital Circuitry.
Conduct test, and troubleshoot test failures at the board, module, and system level.
Analyze test data and specifications. Conduct experimental test, analyze data, and document results. 
Sustaining Engineering function: trend analysis and Lean initiatives as required.
Prepare Engineering Change Notice documentation for submission
Support and train Production Technician Staff

Qualifications 

Typical Education and Experience 
Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 9 or more years' experience, Master's with 7 or more years' experience or PhD with 4 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. 

Required

Bachelors Degree in an engineering classification
A minimum of 4 years directly related experience is required. 
Experience in a role which required knowledge of Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA), Electrically Programmable Logic Device (EPLD) and Digital Signals Processing (DSP) devices 
Experience with development and sustainment of both Radio Frequency (RF) and Digital circuit cards and systems 

Preferred 
Bachelors (or greater) in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) Is highly preferred 
Excellent computer skills, including EXCEL analytical tools. 
Understanding of software and firmware, and how they interact. 

This position requires an active (or ability to obtain) U.S. Security Clearance, for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.
