Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support, accurate advice and guidance to managers and employees regarding general administration, company policies and procedures that are in compliance with Federal and State employment regulations and ordinances.
  • Manage the Regional Safety Program according to State requirements.
  • Maintain an up-to-date employee handbook and supplemental pages for each State where we have employees.
  • Manage the annual renewal of insurances including auto, bonds, workers compensation & office packages.
  • Research, recommend and assist with drafting and implementing best practices in HR policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and file various periodic reports such as OSHA, EEO and government surveys.
  • Investigate and respond to employee relations issues.
  • Assist in benchmarking on compensation and benefits and keep close ties with market rates.
  • Coordinate administration of company’s Pension & Salary Savings Plan.
  • Oversee the day to day office administration along with the Coordinator.
  • Assist in staff development & Performance Management.
  • Prepare Headcount report, maintain database of approved employee levels for each Department, prepare cases for approval of replacement and/or new sources and coordinate approval process among all stakeholders.
  • Participate in recruitment, selection and termination processes.
  • Responsible for handling, mediating employee grievances, and disputes on a daily basis.
  • Provide HR advice and updated Labor regulations to Cabin Crew & Pilot On-shoring offices.
  • Handle ad hoc projects as required by Senior VP Americas and/or People & Administration Manager, USA to ensure the mission of the department is achieved.


Qualifications/Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of Human Resources management experience, degree or diploma in HR related discipline would be an asset
  • Methodical and logical approach to problem solving
  • Knowledge of federal, state and local regulations governing labor laws
  • Effective communication skills
  • Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to interact appropriately with all employee levels
  • Ability to appropriately handle highly sensitive and confidential information
  • Ability to prioritize effectively
  • Ability to work under pressure and deadline
  • Proven ability to make timely decisions in an effective manner
  • Proven ability to work without close supervision
  • Good analytical ability
  • Proficient in Office Systems such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint
