The selected candidate will act as the overall lead, manager and administrator to the contracted effort of ACAT I and II programs and manage across multiple teams. Direct effort of cross-competency teams to include government civilians and contractors at multiple locations. Serve as the primary interface and point of contact with government program authorities and representatives on technical and program issues. Regularly brief senior leadership on program status and milestones. Oversee contractor personnel program operations by developing procedures, planning and directing execution of the technical, programming, maintenance and administrative effort and monitoring and reporting progress. Manage acquisition and employment of program resources and controls financial and administrative aspects of the program with respect to contract requirements.


Education: A MS or MA Degree in a Business related field is required. A BS or BA degree in any field and an additional four (4) years of experience can be substituted for an MS or MA degree.

Experience/Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:  At least twelve (12) years of professional experience in Defense acquisition is required.  Experience in Navy acquisition management to include aircraft systems, hardware and software configuration control, test and evaluation, system integration, and systems supportability, experience in initiating and maintaining technical direction within broad program objectives, experience managing different phases of weapons systems acquisition, including Concept Development and SD&D is desired. The desired experience also includes knowledge of acquisition policies and procedures, demonstrated knowledge of the DoD 5000 series, demonstrated ability to work with large and diverse teams and the ability to effectively provide direction, and supervision in all areas of the contracted effort such as program management, systems engineering, major systems acquisitions, and financial management.

 

Education/experience is a contract requirement.
