Boeing is seeking a senior project engineer to serve as a Product Manager on the Training Systems and Government Services Environments and Control Systems (ECS) team. The Product Manager will be part of a dynamic team in a large Scaled Agile™ development environment.
The ECS team develops Instructor/Operator stations and threat environments which are used in flight simulators. We support customers all over the world (US and foreign military, Boeing Commercial Aircraft, even NASA). Product Managers on our team are responsible for the day-to-day execution of all program contracts. They are directly involved in planning and baselining the team's work, as part of the agile methodology, with a focus on technical excellence.
In addition to Control Account Manager (CAM) duties, a Product Manager will also fill one of three roles (on a rotating basis): Release Train Engineer (RTE), Chief Scrum Master (CSM), or lead the Process Improvement Group.
The Release Train Engineer is a role defined in the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), responsible for interfacing with other large development teams within the Training Systems Capablity and running the Program Increment Planning meeting that occurs every 10 weeks.
The Chief Scrum Master is responsible for maintaining the entire organization's throughput by monitoring work in progress (WIP) and maintaining the cadence of development.
The Process Improvement Group owns the organization's process set and is responsible for drafting and publishing changes to those processes as directed by the organization and management.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required.
Bachelor's and 9 or more years' experience, Master's with 7 or more years' experience or PhD with 4 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
