Job Summary

Looking for a highly motivated individual to fulfill an opening as a Supply Chain Quality Engineer at our Cedar Rapids, IA facility. Candidates should possess experience in Mechanical or Electrical Products, Supplier Management, Quality Management Systems (QMS), Root Cause and Corrective Action, Continual Improvement, Data Analysis, Specification Review, Inspection Methods and Project Management including team facilitation. Candidates must have excellent communication, organizational and time management skills and an overall strong quality focus. They must be able to work within cross-functional teams to meet and improve upon established quality and delivery goals.This position is responsible for providing quality objectives for the business unit in accordance with RCI quality policies and procedures and in compliance with applicable contractual requirements. This may include leading a group of engineers, technicians, and/or administrative support employees in one of the following functional areas: Quality Assurance, Quality System Validation, Supply Chain Quality Assurance, or Material Verification.

Job Responsibilities

· Lead Supplier performance management by analyzing performance data, and identifying opportunities for improvement

· Proactive reduction and prevention of supplied material defect occurrences and verification of supplied material defect claims

· Leading cross-functional teams in pursuit of performance improvements aligned to department and organizational goals

· Preventing/Minimizing business impact from supplied material defects; supplier quality risk mitigation

· Submitting, reviewing, coaching, accepting supplier corrective actions requests

· Lead on-site supplier engagements, including performance reviews and Quality System audits

· Develop solutions to problems of unusual complexity which require a high degree of ingenuity, creativity, and innovation

· Provide project management guidance and support to projects and processes

· Exercise independent judgment methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results

· Leadership within supplied material performance organizational strategies, development / enhancement of Supply Chain Quality Assurance standard work, and Customer communications

· Influence supplier selection

· May require 10%-25% Travel on average

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline.

Desired Skills:

Experience with AS9100, ISO9000 or similar, Quality Management System (QMS) standards

Supplier Management, Project Management and Change Management experience

*

Experience with continuous improvement, APQP, DFMEA, PFMEA, Six Sigma, Lean, Kaizen, 9S, etc.

*

Strong presentation skills - able to analyze and present data to all levels of leadership

*

Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
