Job Duties:

  • Assemble/install simulator chassis, frames, panels, mechanical assemblies/sub-assemblies, electro-mechanical assemblies/sub-assemblies, cables, systems, etc., external to and within simulators, per engineering drawings, parts lists, and work orders
  • Install, test, troubleshoot and repair simulator wiring, mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies/sub-assemblies and systems
  • Perform necessary tests per specific instructions and/or reference documentation
  • Recommend system/document improvements
  • Mentor and perform work inspection of peers
  • Assist engineers with system commissioning
  • Support/assist program team during simulator certifications
  • Generate discrepancy and status reports and correct discrepancies
  • Communicate issue mitigation options and recommendations
  • Correct discrepancies
  • Provide maintenance and technical support for simulators in training
  • Other related duties as assigned


  • Associates degree in Electronics
  • 5+ years experience in related field preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of digital, analog and power circuitry and computer networking
  • Experience with Soldering and light mechanical assembly of components
  • Proficient in the use of electronic test equipment, including but not limited to meters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc
  • Knowledge of simulator systems, components, and installation methods
  • Experience with assembling, installing, testing, trouble-shooting and repair of simulator components, sub-assemblies, assemblies and systems
  • Excellent soldering skills
  • Basic computer skills and operation of basic hand tools (drills, grinders, punches)
  • Ability to:
  • Provide technical leadership
  • Read and understand assembly drawings, parts lists, wire lists and system prints
  • Lift up to 50lbs with assistance
  • Install, test, and maintain components located in tight locations within the simulator
  • Work both independently and in a team environment as needed
  • Obtain forklift certification
  • Operate basic hand tools (drills, grinders, punches, etc)
  • Must be flexible to work all required shifts and travel up to 75% of the time, including international travel, as needed
  • Must have strong communication skills (written and oral)
