KBRwyle is seeking an experienced Systems/Avionics Integration Engineer to support the acquisition of aeronautical systems and subsystems. The successful candidate will utilize their expertise in developing and analyzing avionics systems used to support the integration of advanced avionics and sensor systems and subsystems at the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC). The candidate provide support to the Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) program office’s Foreign Military Sales (FMS) work efforts. This position will focus on technical assessments and management of program developed artifacts, test results, and acquisition milestone events for each system. They will perform key analyses and use technical management principles to assess the impact on the acquisition process. Technical systems engineering and acquisition management work will include drafting the Statement of Work (SOW) for engineering review. Candidate will participate in major milestone events including Preliminary Design Reviews (PDRs), Critical Design Reviews (CDRs), Program Management Reviews (PMRs) and other technical/management activities. The candidate will be experienced and successful at solving complex system integration and engineering issues, enjoy working in a dynamic, responsive, and collaborative environment, and dedicated to the success of our customers against advanced, persistent threats.
Education/Experience: A Master's degree and at least thirteen (13) years of work experience is required. Included in work history, the candidate must have five (5) years of practical experience in systems engineering. Current experience and knowledge of the DoD acquisition processes and other service specific requirements is preferred. Ideal candidate would have experience in avionics integration and cyber processes. Experience with Joint Programs and Interoperability is also highly desired.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: The selected candidate must have the ability to communicate with and distill information from technical resources during formal and informal meetings. Knowledge of systems engineering principles, network architecture analysis, verification and validation of requirements, and understanding the risk management process is desired.
