Summary

The Product Manager is responsible for both CSG product and service planning. This includes managing the identification and evaluation of new or expanded lines of business as they relate to service activities/products. This includes gathering and prioritizing product and/or service offerings, customer requirements, defining the product and/or service vision, and working closely with other key stakeholders, to deliver winning service products and solutions. It also includes developing business cases for new or expanded lines of service offering and measuring performance against the approved business case. The Product Manager’s job also includes ensuring that the product and/or service offerings support the company’s overall strategy and goals

Tasks to be accomplished

* Define the product strategy and roadmap for all service products and/or service offerings

* Identification and development of new or enhanced line business for service that provide value to customers while ensuring strategic business goals are being met or exceeded

* Prepare business cases for approval to include but not limited to:

* Description of new or enhanced service offering for the complete product and/or service lifecycle

* Market Assessment

* Development strategy and budgets

* Cost/price targets

* Forecast revenue

* Target ROI

* Support vendor assessments and sub-contract negotiations

* Support marketing plan development

* Monitor and report on cost and revenue performance targets for each business case

* Support customer meetings and product demonstrations, proposal development as required

* Participate as required in tradeshows, user groups, Customer technical conferences and other sales and technical events in support Customer account

* Ability to travel both domestically and internationally with short notice

Qualifications

Skills Required

* Understanding of the strategic business planning process

* Strong understanding of integrated logistic support concepts and their strategic application to business development

* Understanding of Aerospace / Military maintenance planning concepts is an asset

* Proven experience in providing complete and innovative solutions to Customers

* Business case development and financial analysis

* Financial analysis reports including tracking plan/actual costs and schedule of developing new service products,

* Strong analytical and query skills to investigate, comprehend and drive resolution of all aspects of Customer issues

* Knowledge of contract terms and conditions and sub-contract management

* Able to bring together and influence internal functional teams and demonstrate negotiation and conflict / issue resolution skills

* Demonstrate ability to work in a fast-paced service-oriented environment

* Experience dealing with international clients

* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

* Strong presentation skills

* Excellent organizational and time management skills

Experience & Education Requirements

* Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Product Manager or Product Marketing Manager

* Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products (bring sample docs to interview)

* 10 years of experience in a job in the complementary industry

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Bachelor’s degree (MBA preferred)

* Technical background, with experience in new product and/or service design and introduction in a military markets

* Must be able to travel 20% of the time
