As a Facilities Engineering Intern under Site Services, you will have the opportunity to contribute to solutions in areas such as short and long-term infrastructure planning, capital improvement construction projects and maintenance operations. Interns with the Shared Services Group will be an integral part of what drives Boeing towards success! Site Services is hiring interns for the following engineering positions:
Facilities Plant Engineer provides engineering support and conducts activities related to short- and long-term infrastructure planning and capital improvement construction projects and maintenance operations. Advises and works with internal and external customers to analyze, design and complete facilities construction projects and maintenance activities. Applies engineering principles and methodology to translate customer requirements into feasible options that meet expectations regarding scope, resources and cost. Plans, manages and executes projects, which may involve external vendors, in accordance with construction documents as well as applicable regulations, standards, codes and ordinances. Maintains and archives relevant contract documentation and records. Develops and recommends facility reliability improvements through the application of reliability engineering tools. Researches technologies related to facilities, shares learning with others and trains personnel regarding operation and maintenance of assets.
Facilities Equipment Engineer applies engineering methodologies to create and review equipment designs that meet stakeholder specifications and requirements. Ensures the integration of equipment with related infrastructures. Provides technical recommendations and solutions related to equipment. Teams with cross-functional subject matter experts to develop and review bids and procurement specifications. Plans, manages and executes projects involving the acquisition and modification of equipment. Develops and implements testing and acceptance of equipment to validate performance and performs condition code analysis. Creates and maintains necessary equipment documentation. Controls hardware, software and documentation configuration in accordance with company procedures and legal requirements. Creates cost estimates for the acquisition, installation or modification of equipment. Develops and recommends equipment reliability improvements through the application of reliability engineering tools. Researches technologies related to equipment, shares learning with others and trains personnel regarding operation and maintenance of equipment.
