The KBRwyle Software and IT Solutions Sector is looking for a world class Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join our ASSIST software development team. ASSIST is the Automated Single Sign-on Integrated Services Tool that supports the NAVAIR 6.8.4 Data Warehouse & Decision Analysis Support Commodity Line application’s user authentication and authorization services.
The successful candidate will be expected to utilize tools and follow processes that ensure high-quality software is delivered. The primary responsibilities of the candidate are as follows; ensuring project processes are established, documented, managed, maintained, and applied as well as ensuring the activities and tasks performed are effectively aligned with product risk management processes. The successful candidate will evaluate software development, project management, and customer support processes on the project to determine consistency with best-practice lifecycle processes. The successful candidate will perform evaluations, as needed, of the software engineering environments and test environments used by the project team to determine whether they conform to contract obligations. The successful candidate will document and investigate non-compliance issues found when performing process and product evaluations as well as track the non-compliance issues to resolution. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in software testing and review of test plans, as well as developing metrics collection processes, analysis and reporting; deployment of tools; facilitating project process group meetings; participating in causal analysis meetings and providing data for analysis. Conducting lessons learned meetings to collect feedback on the execution of project processes for project and organizational improvements will be required. Successful candidate will use the results for feedback to improve company and project processes, to recommend changes in the direction of ongoing or subsequent projects, and to determine technology advancement needs. The successful candidate will work with project team to collect historical, technical, and evaluation data to analyze and gain an understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of currently employed processes. The successful candidate will be knowledgeable in performing CMMI compliant Audits, familiar with the Software Process Improvement Initiative (SPII), assisting with software testing, and reviewing test plans. Education/Experience: A Bachelor's degree in Technical Management or a related field is required; in lieu of a degree, four (4) years of quality assurance experience is required. The selected applicant must have experience in the full software development life cycle, and with CMMI ML 3 processes. Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) including build services and Release Manage, and project management and/or Scrum/Agile tools (MS Project, Visio, etc.) is desired. Industry certifications desired (i.e. CISSP, Security +, CSM, PMP, etc.).
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: The selected applicant must also have strong verbal and written communication skills, and be detail oriented.
