Job Description
The Boeing Company seeks a Subject Matter Expert to Lead Software Quality Engineering at wholly owned subsidiary ArgonST. You will have the skills, knowledge and ability to define and maintain large scale program software quality engineering processes, resources and infrastructure. Specifically, this includes serving as a lead contributor to ArgonST's effort to institutionalize Agile and Waterfall software development best practices, establish measures of effectiveness (metrics) that yield actionable intelligence and facilitate systematic continuous improvement. The Software Quality Engineering Lead will be a recognized technical authority on Software Quality that is capable of engaging key U.S. Navy and other DOD customers on application of the Quality Management System to every phase of the software lifecycle (development, integration and test, post-delivery, patch release, etc) and be familiar with C, C++ or Java programming languages. In addition, the Software Quality Engineering Lead will directly support the execution of software quality operations to include maintaining a robust audit/surveillance program, test witnessing, peer reviews, software problem reporting and adjudication, root cause analysis, risk assessments and corrective/preventive action development. This role will significantly improve the quality of ArgonST's software resulting in improved customer confidence and realized efficiencies that enable the delivery of software capabilities on time or ahead of schedule. Industry experience with SIGINT, ELINT and COMINT technologies is preferred. 
You should have experience serving on Agile teams in various roles (e.g., scrum master, product owner, team member), experience working in a waterfall environment and experience with industry tools to include JIRA, GIT, STASH and Confluence. The Lead is expected to acclimate quickly to a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You must be highly experienced, capable of working independently and under minimal direction. You will possess a blend of both Software Engineering expertise and knowledge of the Quality functional discipline, along with experience working directly with DOD customers and DCMA. Knowledge of CMMI, ISO 9001 and AS9115 is a plus.

Qualifications 

This position requires an active (or ability to obtain) U.S. Security Clearance, for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. 

For consideration, candidates should have:

  • Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 9 or more years' experience, Master's with 7 or more years' experience or PhD with 4 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
  • Demonstrated experience in various roles within an Agile team
  • Current and active Top Secret Clearance
  • Should have experience with one or more of the following languages – Java, C/C++

 
Desired skills:

  • Experience leading a software quality operations (audit, reviews, root cause analysis, corrective/preventive actions)
  • Knowledge of CMMI, ISO 9001 and AS9115
  • Experience with the INT disciplines – SIGINT, ELINT and COMINT
