The Supplier Operations Support (SOS) Senior Analyst is primarily responsible for improving information management within a team of managers who are focused on operational perfromance at critical suppliers, while also learning the SOS model and supervising the operational performance of a critical supplier with support of a manager and an on-site team. The position requires frequent interaction with internal and external customers at multiple levels within the organization of the business unit, supplier and affected external customers.

This entry-level supervisor position requires indirect leadership helping suppliers, contractors and Aerostructures employees develop solutions to reduce cycle times and improve quality of data analysis, reporting and implementation of new tools and processes. Ability to communicate effectively with professionals in Manufacturing, Manufacturing Engineering, Facilities, Quality Control, Material Planning & Logistics and Supply Chain Management will be essential.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Lead the initiative to develop more efficient processing of data and metrics within SOS team and at critical suppliers
Gather input from customer and supplier stakeholders to identify new opportunities for improvement
Able to teach others how to use new or improved tools and processes in 1-on-1 and group settings
Benchmark organizations to continuously improve tools and processes
Draft standard work to document and communicate key processes
Strengthen the Supplier Performance team's SIPOC (supplier-input-process-output-customer)
Team with an SOS manager to learn to lead an underperformning supplier package
Complete due diligence activities to identify and assess supplier operational risks
Ensure supplier is capable of re-assuming operations management entirely with their own resources
Demonstrate operational excellence in safety, quality, delivery, cost and organizational development
Maintain alignment with commercial agreements between the supplier and the business unit
Create and maintain an integrated schedule that holds supplier and other stakeholders accountable for deliverables
Recommend and implement mitigation plans to ensure delivery of products
Prioritize daily activities, escalating issues for real time problem resolution
Coordinate activities with internal and external suppliers and customers
Track and communicate the ongoing performance of the supplier to the established metrics
Standardize best practices across operations at the supplier
Support the demand management planning process to meet OTD targets and future rate breaks
Validate capacity, demand, and resource plans (equipment, tooling and people) to ensure rate readiness
Develop and refine manufacturing and business processes to achieve required demonstrated output
Develop effective shop floor visuals and efficient material flow in the value stream
Ensure demonstrated yield is used in all manufacturing planning
Promote lean transformation at the supplier, leveraging experts in continuous improvement tools and processes
Ensure effective implementation of product design and manufacturing technology changes
Drive long term actions that position the supplier to return to acceptable operational performance
Qualification:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Two (2) years Supply Chain Management experience, including experience leading projects or teams
Strong analytical, numerical and reasoning abilities
Experience with Lean and Continuous Improvement
Familiarity with PMBOK and project management tools
Strong written and verbal communication skills across the organization, confident interacting from working level to executive
Results oriented, with a strong bias for action
Ability to develop and motivate personnel to meet expectations
Experienced with multi-functional teams and/or projects
Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel and other data management tools
Experience using Microsoft Project
Worked directly with suppliers, including delivery and quality performance metrics, as well as root cause corrective action to resolve problems

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, MIS or related field
Experience implementing process and tool improvement in a multi-functional environment
Demonstrated success teaching and coaching people across multiple functions
Experience working on-site with suppliers building relationships and resolving problems

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, MIS or related field
