The candidate will work at a spacecraft ground station as part of a space vehicle engineering team. The vehicle engineering team is responsible for all aspects of spacecraft operations.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Monitor and trend the on-orbit spacecraft telemetry looking for adverse trends that could affect operations.

* Planning and execution of all required spacecraft maintenance and recovery from spacecraft anomalies.

The Vehicle engineering team works a normal Monday – Friday work schedule, however during special events like launches or anomaly recoveries there will be some off hours work required.

This position requires an active Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Qualifications

Typical Education/Experience:

Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 9 or more years' experience, Master's with 7 or more years' experience or PhD with 4 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
