The Specialist will be responsible for establishing and executing the User Experience technology vision using industry best practices and standards for user interface (UI) development. The new Specialist will work with customers in TEQ to achieve our business’ digital goals. The ideal candidate for this position is a hands-on professional with strong knowledge of content management platforms and an ability to translate our business needs into client-friendly functions that will expand our website’s influence in our industry. The Business Technology Specialist will be responsible for updating our current online applications, as well as developing and implementing a usability testing process to ensure that new website applications meet the customers’ requirements. The Specialist should be familiar with SharePoint Visual Studio, Bootstrap, Angular, JavaScript and HTML. It is essential to have a flexible attitude and excellent communication skills. This person will work closely with business owners, product owners, business analysts, project managers, UX Leads, graphic designers and tech leads using the Agile and waterfall project methodology.


* Create positive experiences for our users by using intuitive user interfaces

* Understand customer processes in order to suggest recommendations to our customers on how to accomplish their work smarter, faster, more efficiently using technology

* Lead UI technical solutions throughout the entire product lifecycle, from initial explorations through final design deliverables such as screen layouts, user interface elements and prototypes

* Collaborate with TEQ Business Technology counterparts and IT for technical solutions

* Follow development standards established for technical development

* Produce and deliver final assets using HTML5, CSS3, JSP and JavaScript frameworks (jQuery, etc.)

* Develop forms, applications, and workflows within SharePoint using InfoPath, K2 and/or SharePoint designer

* Update existing applications to meet the security and functionality standards

* Implement testing tools that can be used for QA

* Assist in updating application development policies to ensure that all future applications meet the latest technical requirements

* Lead or participate in demonstrations to present solution capabilities to stakeholders

Job Qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology Management

* A minimum of three (3) years software development

* Two years development experience with SharePoint 2010/2013, SharePoint Designer preferred

* Experienced JavaScript developer

* Proficient in JavaScript coding of jQuery plugins or similar JavaScript frameworks

* Proficient in markup coding by hand, specifically HTML5 and/or XHTML 1.0

* Proficient in Responsive web design understanding (css media queries)

* Proficient in JSOM, CSOM, REST, Bootstrap

* Create, deploy and maintain responsive SharePoint website designs with master pages, page layouts, themes and display templates

* HTML5 web apps (jQuery Mobile, Sencha, etc.)

* Prefer experience with K2 BlackPearl

* Relevant Microsoft technical certifications
