Description
  • Support Category Managers in strategy development, execution, and periodic reporting
  • Lead RFx development, supplier evaluation, and contract negotiation and execution in alignment with business and category strategies
  • Proactively gather requirements and other information to support negotiations
  • Facilitate stakeholder and supplier communications
  • Identify opportunities for improved spend management
  • Manage contract processing and renewals
  • Analyze supplier proposals and model total cost of ownership
  • Achieve Company and departmental goals as assigned
  • Analyze and report on metrics for business reviews with key suppliers
  • Utilize ERP systems, e-Commerce and web-based systems to manage and extract/analyze data and identify sourcing strategies
  • Travel and perform other duties as may be assigned
Requirements

Basic Requirements

  • BS in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or related field(s)
  • 2 + years of experience in Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, Contract Administration, and/or Supplier Management
  • Working knowledge of Source-to-Pay processes
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and other database and analysis tools
  • Excellent oral & written communication and strong interpersonal skills
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours including, but not limited to on call support domestic and international travel activities related to business continuity, resolving supplier issues, negotiating value added pricing and developing joint remedies to supplier issues
  • Must have the capability to understand technical documents, work with cross-functional teams and make recommendations based on data and analysis
  • Self-directing, and able to meet deadlines in an environment of constantly changing priorities and data
  • Strong vendor negotiation skills
  • High ethical standards and the ability to handle multiple projects and priorities at the same time.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

Preferred Requirements

  • Airline experience (preferred 2 years)
  • 2 - 5 years professional experience
  • Basic understanding of Lean Six Sigma
  • Proven change agent to work in highly complex and stressful environments
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills
