Unique Skills:

Our team creates new products for pilots that assist in their flight-planning efforts. We redesign legacy applications that allow interior designers to collaborate with our customers. We explore industry-first AR/VR solutions that allow users to envision Gulfstream’s products of the future. We get out of the office and talk our internal users, and our external customers.

We use design research methods to gather requirements from users and business stakeholders. We work in an Agile Scrum process and are co-located with team members with roles as Scrum Masters, Developers, and Quality Assurance Analysts.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Candidate for degree in User Experience Design, Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Human Computer Interaction or relevant curriculum

3.0 GPA or higher and it (Must be noted on the resume submitted)

A portfolio of work that demonstrates your skills, and the ability to articulate your role on the projects it contains.

Position Purpose:

We are a team of UX designers, with complementary areas of expertise. We are constantly learning new skills in order to bring our solutions to life. The ideal candidate for this position will have a similar mindset, and the desire to adapt to new challenges.

Essential Functions:

Typically responsible for assisting with the definition of some features or enhancements on a project or product release.

Informally presents design concepts and deliverables to design team; works with more senior designers to get approval to move projects forward.

1. Gather user needs via design research methods. 2. Communicate learnings and requirements to business colleagues. 3. Generate ideas via sketches, mockups, and prototypes for testing with users. 4. Research existing design patterns and best practices and apply to design problems. 5. Critique and refine design ideas with UX team members. 6. Create user tasks and conduct usability tests to evaluate concept directions. 7. Create mockups and prototypes to communicate desired directions to development team members. 8. Create final specs and assets for implementation. 9. Work collaboratively with developers to create solutions that find a balance between business needs, usability, and development effort. 10. Support and improve our existing portfolio of products.
