Lead and manage the planning and forecasting of Spirit’s airport Customer Service and Ramp operations manpower.
Implement new staff planning platform to more efficiently run staffing scenarios to optimize staffing and minimize expense
Working with Airport Services leadership, develop and validate key inputs and assumptions that drive airport staffing requirements
Conduct time and motion studies as needed to validate model inputs
Regularly update inputs to staffing models to account for changes in customer behavior, airport automation, and company policy changes that affect labor needs
Budget and forecast direct, Airport Services frontline Team Member staffing and wages, and work with Airport Services leadership to evaluate variances to plan and forecast
Work with airport managers to develop shift bids
Evaluate sufficiency and efficiency of third party Service Provider staffing plans against Spirit standards. Work with Spirit airport managers to customize modeling to account for unique, local conditions where appropriate
Develop staffing KPIs, standardized reporting, and station goals in collaboration with Airport Service leadership
Ad hoc operational performance analysis
Required Degree in Quantitative Field
2+ years experience in the airline industry in a highly analytical role, preferably with operational experience
Previous manpower planning/scheduling experience in a wage step/scale environment preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work rapidly and independently under pressure, meet deadlines, make decisions and exercise sound judgment
Ability to prioritize multiple simultaneous projects
Strong MS Office skills including Excel, Access and Powerpoint
