American Airlines, Inc. has multiple openings for a Sr. Application Systems Architect to perform the following duties: Provide technical direction and leadership in the architecture, design, development and deployment of IT solutions within our customer base. Create, maintain, and own technical specifications, designs, and prototypes as technical lead on new and ongoing projects. Provide hands-on experience in systems development in a variety of computing architectures and environments. Lead the design and development efforts for our systems integration projects, and evaluate and create new tools and techniques to facilitate effective development practices. Actively participate with a team of architects and members of technical staff to communicate development needs and interest of products. Analyze business data requirements in order to create accurate, extensible, and flexible logical data models using modeling tools. Provide production support of software application, and integrate SIP methodologies into strategy development. Work with n-tiered web architectures, SOA and related technologies (XML, SOAP, REST, and JSON). Architect and implement significant portions of code, leveraging work across many products and services. Anticipate and act upon issues that arise, providing alternative approaches, optimal solutions, and continuously improving the performance of applications.
Master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, management information systems, information technology, or related field, plus three years of experience in the job offered, or using .NET or Java platform, and demonstrated experience in: .NET or Java, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Oracle and SQL Server, Elastic Search or MongoDB, IBM Data Power and IBM Integration Bus (IIB), IBM MQ or NServiceBus 5.0/4.0/3.0, SCEPTRE and GT Ivory software suite, Mosaic, .NET Core, ASP.NET, Unity or Structure Map, A bachelor’s degree plus five years of experience will be accepted in the alternative
Schedule: 40 hours per week/8 a.m.-5 p.m./M-F.
