We ensure that information is shared across secure web services that are protected with dedicated gateways.
We are currently hiring integration and services experts to be part of our Integrations Team. We develop integration and messaging services with Tibco and .NET technologies. Your contributions will ensure our Information Backbone is rich with meaningful real-time events and on-demand secure services to support the many systems that make flying and travelling easy.

When you join our team as a Senior Software Development Engineer within our IT division you will play a key role in developing and maintaining the technology that allows our customers to breeze through the airport, puts our planes in the air, and supports our employees and operation and the Alaska Airlines strategic vision.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and participate in the analysis, design, development and maintenance of integration services.
- Collaborate with appropriate IT and business groups, working within our architectural standards to ensure appropriate software solutions.
- Responsible for the resolution of complex technical issues related to development of new services or maintenance of existing services.
- Develop software solutions utilizing the appropriate software development languages and tools
- Document project scope, objectives, requirements and benefits.
- Document technical services with their dependencies and SLAs. 
- Execute all phases of system analysis and design, preparing all necessary charts, tables, diagrams and codes
- Direct and coordinate programming, testing and implementation activities
- Monitor progress during the project, resolve any problems or issues affecting planned activities, take corrective action on exceptions as they occur, insure tasks get done within the schedule.
- Participate in On-Call support rotation.
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
-BA or BS in Computer Science or a related study, or equivalent experience required
- 5+ years prior professional experience in Software Engineering required
-Minimum 3 years of Business Works v5.9 and EMS v6.x required
-Experience with Event-Driven Architecture and messaging concepts on JMS-compliant messaging engines preferred 
-Proven ability with designing and creating XSD, XSLT, and XPATH transformations preferred 
-Demonstrated experience with SOAP/WSDL web services development for at least 3 years, and REST/JSON services preferred
- Proficient or knowledgeable of J2EE preferred
-Experience in development and testing with .NET Framework preferred 
-Experience with software project management full development lifecycle using SCRUM/Agile methodology preferred
-Knowledgeable of web security threats (SQL injection, message replay, denial of service) preferred 
-Experience with IBM Websphere MQ Series Operation/Administration preferred
-Great can-do attitude and passion to solve complex problems preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills preferred.
- Minimum age of 18
-Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
