Job Description The Boeing Company is currently seeking two Senior Software Engineers in St. Louis, MO. This position is an opportunity to join a growing organization that has been very successful in capturing and completing projects and programs. The individual chosen to fill this position will be required to participate in and eventually lead small teams in software development work utilizing and developing virtualization technologies.
As part of this position, the individual will need to display extensive and specialized knowledge of host environments, including processors, operating systems, and networks and an ability to build, integrate, and troubleshoot software components. This position will require a self-starter who can work in an environment where the engineer is expected to derive requirements and determine the best path forward even when working from an incomplete work scope. An ability to handle a variety of tasks, to research, assist, and eventually lead team efforts in defining the project path, and to work efficiently in a dynamic environment is also required.
Some of the specific tasks include:
Development of a virtual machine and virtual input/output devices
Creation of user interfaces in the C# / .NET environment

Division Engineering Test and Tech Relocation Assistance Available No. Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit. Qualifications Basic Qualifications (Required):
5+ years of professional experience in software development
Strong knowledge of computer hardware architecture to the component level.
The ability to obtain a US Secret security clearance (US citizenship required)
A BSEE or BSCE with software experience, or a BSCS with significant Hardware/System design background is preferred.
Hardware/System design and development
Experience in C and C++ coding, debug, and development
Software design work in real time systems
Software development in Visual Studio
PC applications and Windows software development
Experience in C# / .NET coding, debugging, and development
Common Test Environment (CTE)
Virtualization technologies, e.g. VMware, QEMU
Communication protocols MIL-STD-1553, ARINC-429, and Ethernet
Typical Education/Experience: Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 9 or more years' experience, Master's with 7 or more years' experience or PhD with 4 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
This position requires an active (or ability to obtain) U.S. Security Clearance, for which the US Government requires US Citizenship
