Role Summary:
The systems test engineering role engages in all stages of R&D, New Product Introduction (NPI) and sustaining engineering life-cycles from a test perspective. This individual will work with a team of engineers to identify risks and opportunities for test programs and work closely with Systems Engineering to recommend system design modifications based on test data. This role will also guide short and long-term planning through effective risk assessment.

Essential Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities Include :

* Work with systems engineering to understand customer’s requirements and their implications for testing programs

* Develop, execute and track test engineering programs for R&D, Design Assurance Test (DAT) and formal qualification

* Provide input and expertise and oversight for pneumatic test facility upgrade projects

* Identify and propose process improvements within the test engineering organization

* Be responsible for defined projects with moderate to high complexity

* Provide expertise and mentoring to junior engineers in systems and test engineering

* Provide timely and effective communications on significant issues or developments

Qualifications/Requirements:

* Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from an accredited University or College

* Minimum of 20 years of industry experience in pneumatic thermal management systems {(AMS, ECS or related field) Including experience in the design and / or test of ECS or similar aerospace subsystems; experience in the design and / or test of pneumatic valves and turbo machinery}

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT :

* This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment
