This is a recruitment for Station Agents (2 positions). These positions are located in Barrow, Alaska. These are full time, benefit eligible position. Schedule to be determined. Candidates must be flexible – able to work days/nights/weekends/holidays. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma required. Familiar with or able to quickly familiarize self with GOM and applicable contents related to this position. Able to work with minimal supervision in a public setting with multiple employees and distractions. Exceptional communication skills. Professional appearance; attention to detail and accuracy at all times. DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES: • Will become familiar with the GOM as it pertains to safety, aviation security, the Approved Weight and Balance Control Program, in addition to any other programs, policies and procedures that directly relate. • Complies with all safety requirements pertaining to the safe operations near or around aircraft. • Provides information and support for flight crews and ground personnel. • Responsible for the accuracy of the FlightMaster Manifest. • Completes and files all necessary records. • Maintains, updates, and distributes the daily flight schedule to necessary personnel. • Communicates to all necessary personnel of any irregular operations, to include: - Weather hold information - Aircraft equipment changes - Delays and/or cancellations - Flight arrivals • Communicate to the OCC requested route changes • Update the flights in FlightMaster’s Daily FlightStrip • Transmit Pilot arrival calls • Airline reservations, ticketing, passengers/baggage check-in, freight air waybills, route freight, load/unload aircraft, written and verbal communications between all airline departments. • Long periods of standing, keyboarding, legible handwriting with basic mathematics required. • Confidentiality for safety and security. • Gate announcements, meeting/boarding aircraft, escorting special needs passengers, diplomacy in dealing with customer complaints, problem solving. • Self-manage varied workloads while remaining focused on safety, speed, accuracy and attention to detail.
