Job Description

The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Stress Engineer with a desire to work in the world's largest aerospace company. Our Oklahoma City Stress Engineering team supports structural modifications and repairs, large scale and component testing and Aircraft Structural Integrity Programs. 

Our structural analysis includes, but is not limited to, static strength, damage tolerance and durability. 

Responsibilities:

  • Performs basic structural analysis using well defined analysis tools to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance.
  • Supports test execution and analyzes/reports test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
  • Defines and documents certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied.
  • Supports in-service products by investigating failures and analyzing improvements.

Qualifications 

Basic Qualifications:

 

This position requires an active (or ability to obtain) U.S. Security Clearance, for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.

  • Minimum of 1-year experience performing stress analysis using classical stress analysis techniques; finite element modeling (PATRAN, Stresscheck, Mechanica), and Durability and Damage Tolerance (D&DT) Tools
  • Experience performing Static Analysis on airplanes

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 to 4 years experience working with working with aircraft stress analysis/structural analysis.

Typical Education/Experience:

 

Bachelor's and 2 or more years' experience or a Master's degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
